چکیده

Abstract Global spatial distribution of vegetation is determined jointly by climate, monsoon, ocean current and human activities. In recent decades, surface changes caused global warming, extreme climate events intensified activities need a further understood. this paper, we adopted available MODIS land cover dataset (MCD12Q1) to investigate the feature sand dynamics during past 20 years. Results show that: (1) pattern formed long-term ecosystem evolution exhibits stable with less variation in both latitude vertical dimensions. Generally, percent forest, shrubland, grass cropland respectively are 15.27%, 9.39%, 39.46% 8.91% covers, distinct transition trend from rainforest at equator region moss lichen north south pole. (2) years, forest decreased 3.0×10 5 km 2 , an average annual decrease 1.255%, open shrubs experienced slight fluctuations 2001-2017 increased sharply 1.6×10 2017-2018. And grassland, croplands cropland/natural mosaics had different degrees growth rate, dynamic increase 0.021%, 0.019% 0.502%, respectively. (3) There about 4.2×10 6 changed into grassland West Siberia Amazon, 2.5×10 shrubs, as well 1.9×10 farmland, 9.4×10 4 shrubs.

Grassland vegetation changes and nocturnal global warming

Global minimum temperatures (TMIN) are increasing faster than maximum temperatures, but the ecological consequences of this are largely unexplored. Long-term data sets from the shortgrass steppe were used to identify correlations between TMIN and several vegetation variables. This ecosystem is potentially sensitive to increases in TMIN. Most notably, increased spring TMIN was correlated with de...

Projected Future Vegetation Changes for the Northwest United States and Southwest Canada at a Fine Spatial Resolution Using a Dynamic Global Vegetation Model.

Future climate change may significantly alter the distributions of many plant taxa. The effects of climate change may be particularly large in mountainous regions where climate can vary significantly with elevation. Understanding potential future vegetation changes in these regions requires methods that can resolve vegetation responses to climate change at fine spatial resolutions. We used LPJ,...

Banded vegetation in some Australian semi-arid landscapes: 20 years of field observations to support the development and evaluation of numerical models of vegetation pattern evolution

Periodic vegetation patterns (PVPs) are striking features of many global drylands. Although they have attracted wide research study, resulting in many hypotheses, their origin and controlling factors remain unresolved. Theoretical works dominate a large literature seeking to account for the occurrence and properties of PVPs, especially banded vegetation patterns (‘tiger bush’). In light of...

Response of spatial vegetation distribution in China to climate changes since the Last Glacial Maximum (LGM)

Analyzing how climate change affects vegetation distribution is one of the central issues of global change ecology as this has important implications for the carbon budget of terrestrial vegetation. Mapping vegetation distribution under historical climate scenarios is essential for understanding the response of vegetation distribution to future climatic changes. The reconstructions of palaeoveg...
